Meet The Founder

Dr. Torise Hiller leverages over 20 years of expertise to help you tell your story.

Dr. Torise L. Hiller, affectionately known as “Dr. T,”’ was born and raised in the city of Passaic, NJ and is one of triplets. Known as an “Identity Midwife” and “Soul Strategist,” Dr. Hiller is the Founder & CEO of ToriseHillerMinistries and aplacetoconsider.com, which seeks to provide safety, strength, renewal and transformational support to those in need of inner healing. She is a former English teacher, having specialized in middle school and high school English for over a decade.

In addition, she currently works as an adjunct professor and trainer at Essex County College and Passaic County Community College. Dr. Hiller is a traveling independent instructor and educational consultant for Therapy Travelers, Inc. Dr. Hiller is a licensed and ordained minister, certified in pre-marital and marriage counseling, pastoral care, gang counseling, and suicide prevention. An innovator and prolific writer, she makes a significant impact to her community and her clients as a transformational coach and empowerment speaker. As of April 2022, Dr. Hiller was appointed by Governor Murphey to be Commissioner of Passaic Housing Authority.

Dr. Hiller earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts & Secondary Education as well as a Master’s in Teaching from Hampton University in Hampton, VA. She furthered her education to receive a Master’s in Special Education from New Jersey City University in 2006, followed by several seminary courses and certificates earned from the late Dr. Howard Anderson’s Divinity School in Nashville, TN, where she received numerous awards and spiritual certificates. She received a Master’s in Theological Studies and Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University and holds a Doctorate in Ministry.

Since the onset of COVID-19, Dr. Hiller has graced multiple global platforms and apostolic hubs to facilitate communal empowerment and healing through soul care, domestic violence awareness, childhood trauma work, awareness of injustices towards women, and grief talk. She currently serves her clients and community as a mentor, counselor, prophetic intercessor, spiritual life coach, educational and clergy consultant, and is a master teacher over various series and blogs that foster spiritual development. Dr. Hiller is also a creative contributor for Innervision Magazine International, Blessed Keys Ministries, and other ministries to which she contributes blogs, articles and curriculum. She recently has written blind scripts to Netflix and FaithWriter Int. Catalog.
