Behold, I am doing a new thing. (Isaiah 43:19)
Have you ever asked to yourself, “Why do people have an attitude when I am doing better?”
Sometimes, people are not able to hear, comprehend, or handle the changes you are making. When this happens, it is not a personal indictment against you, to make you shy away from the newness of lifestyle and behavior choices. It is the evidence of a change in the relationship, and the reality that changes involving relationships (within/without) are never easy to accept or move in continuously. This is why being silent during birth is such a vital stage in birthing: to avoid abortion, abandonment, or adoption. Sharing information prematurely give adversaries permission to wreak havoc; whether it is the subconscious thoughts of doubt and fear or the naysayers who have not adjusted to the new sound and persona that God has given. We tend to make it more difficult for ourselves by choosing to hear the sound of others. By doing so, we lose our focus on God’s thunderous voice, trying to communicate with us, and guiding us towards our true path.
Be Careful & Cautious: You CANNOT Share everything with others. Release your thoughts to God.
The urgency of stillness is now more vital than ever. I’m not talking about always being physically stationed, but stationed in mind, body, and spirit. In times of civil unrest, the soul is begging for the space of rest. God is Re-building up the walls of Jerusalem. We must strongly consider being still long enough to identify where we are going in order to move closer to the Identity and Image of Jesus Christ. God is the cornerstone, and he will ultimately give us a rightful purpose, and encourage us to help him rebuild. Therefore, consider: What is my rightful place? The reason why you or others may be uncomfortable is because you have been out of place for far too long. Come back to me, come out from among them, return to the place of your first love, my place of safety and strong support. Rest in this careful observation: “How lovely is your dwelling place Lord of Host.”- Psalm 84:1.
Beloved, grant God the invitation to host rest and comfort to you in this hour.
Gospel Artist Marvin Sapp declares this in a song entitled:
Place of Worship
Go find your place of worship. Look into your pain and find your praise.
Every low place in your life, prepares you for your high place.
Every tear you cry is water for the garden of your victory.
And even though you’re in the valley.
Victory comes through your adversity. Go find your place of worship.
Father, we thank you for the gift of worship. Thank you for the resources that are coming even when I don’t see them. And when I get frustrated or alone, when I am in what seems to appear to be a tight place, help me to praise your name, reassure that I have a rightful purpose. Help us God, so that the static of our struggles will not silence or hinder your will. Allow us the opportunity to remain silent before your presence and to be FULLY present with you. I will guard my heart above all else and abide in the old way of trust and surrender that provides me with a fresh word. Thank you for strengthening and stretching in the STILLNESS, for you are my comfort. In the name of Jesus: Amen.
